- Offenders must complete the OASIS Accountability/Victims Educational Workshops before they can request to have their apology letters and self-improvement reports posted to the OASIS Offenders Apology Register.
- Access to offenders community resources.
OASIS community and institutional programming consist of “Victims, Offenders and Community Awareness Education” and a communication vehicle for offenders to stand directly accountable to their victims, communities and their families/friends for the harm they caused. For safety concerns the OASIS Executive Committee will review all information (offenders apology letters/self-improvement reports) prior to posting for appropriateness. Measures are in place for user protection. There is no justice system relief or benefits for participating in the OASIS program.
Offenders convicted of crimes dealing with child abuse, sexual offense, domestic violence, or crimes involving minors are NOT ELIGIBLE to post apology letters on the OASIS website.
